Copywriting and Business Writing

Advertorial and Sponsored Content for Media

I create clickable reads on a wide range of topics and offer concepts for content delivery (Top 10 list or reported with real-world experiences?). I’ve tackled diverse topics, such as immigration law, mattress advice, e-bikes, travel to rural Japan and bringing home a new kitty. Clients include Seattle Humane Society, ANA Airlines, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a nationwide ride-sharing business and an international credit card company.

Copywriting Services for Business

I tell customers about truly cool services, products and programs offering faster, cheaper and better strategies or solutions for life. I rewrite or write websites, refine SEO, and compose newsletters, blog posts and annual reports. I also coin names and taglines, catalog copy and more.

Clients: Landor Communications, Boeing Employees Credit Union, PennyMac Home Loans, Midwives Association of North America, Repair the World, Tovolo, Inc., Umpqua Bank and numerous small businesses, including mental health therapists, photographers and others.

Special Publications and Trade Magazines

For larger corporate and nonprofit clients, I write and edit pieces for in-house publications. Clients have included: Alaska Airlines Beyond, Horizon Airlines, Holt Publishing, Washington State Visitor Guide, L.A. Magazine, McMurry Publications, SagaCity Media for Eastern Oregon Visitors Guide, Washington State Visitors Guide and Travel Portland, Sam’s Club, SEIU Healthcare.

For industry/trade, I’ve written for Natural Foods Merchandiser and Home Décor Buyer.

Rates start at $100/hour.

Sliding scale available to nonprofit organizations.

My business/copywriting and journalism work are different types of work. I cannot write about, pitch or include my clients in an independent article, and any potential conflicts of interest will be disclosed to editors. I don’t include links for pay.

Where advertorial and sponsored content is concerned, I receive assignments from publications. I cannot “pitch” advertorial, nor work a business into my articles for pay.

I do not perform PR work (press releases, marketing pitches to media, etc.), but I’m happy to refer you to excellent firms or individuals.
